Hitchens is a radical left-wing journalist and Chomsky, a Professor of Linguistics, who has never held a real job, or been in a position in which his decisions would be questioned.

Why can't Chomsky's record in the real world be criticized? That's easy. He's never done anything other than write and talk. As they say, no armchair general has ever won or lost a war, yet somehow they know exactly what others should have done.
