My reasons include the yields on money market fund along with the record levels of such funds as of this week's data.

Surely, there are numerous fairly safe stocks that are a much better value than 2% adjusted for risk. That kind of value conscious investing (especially if large sums are reallocated) has an chain reaction associated with it and all stocks start moving up as a result. That is my basic premise for getting more bullish for the near term.

I am very comfortable holding stocks here because there are enough skeptical analysts and managers about the current valuations and future outlooks. As soon as they all get bullish...I am out.<g>

This is going to be a very interesting week. Although you noted that many predict a move higher this week, I have seen more opinions in the opposite direction.

BTW--I am looking at short term moves higher and not necessarily considering what happens to stocks after even 6 months from now. I am more of a believer in the "W" recovery in which we get a big pick up in in business conditions near term, followed by some deterioration and then a major rebound. However, this does not factor into my near term trading strategies.

Timetobuy: Stocks may or may not go up this week. I have no idea and neither does anyone else.

Then why are you posting on this thread? You seem bent on just stirring up trouble...
