IMO no one in an official capacity has even acknowledged the very existence of such Soviet/Russian devices

FL, On the news there has been a prominent former Soviet nuclear engineer discusing the Soviet arsenal. I believe he defected some time ago. His name escapes me, I believe he has spoken about these devices existence. Am I wrong?

So, if there is such uncertainty as to their existence, then....

all relevant data about them is classified at least TS...therefore you hear little to nothing officially about them.

i believe they exist and some weigh far less than 100 pounds and are easily man portable.

i believe that threat is why the VP leaves town for a week at a time and also why, from time to time, other senior congressional figures suddenly go home en masse.
