There are many aspects to a peoples culture, eg, music, cuisine, art, language and literature, history, architecture, etc. and not just hideous and extreme types of behavior such as FGM. No civilized person on this planet would support such barbarism.. I am very much a female rights supporter and in many of our earlier discussions there were a few on this thread who were certain I was female because of it. re:I love "but that is true in the good ole USA also.." No nobody is perfect including the good ole USA. I think we have warts also and if you don't then you've got your head in the sand. And I don't think it's unpatriotic to point them out when we see them. re:BTW, I am an active member of our county's AI group, and was its leader until a couple of years ago. Good for you and keep up the good work. I wouldn't have guessed it, you seem to have a couple of strong biases....
