Carl -

There are plenty of explanations that don't require anyone to stretch their imagination to the point where they would believe that a "meteor" was so highly destructive in the Middle East 4000 years ago.

(1) The Jews have nuclear weapons. This is a well known fact. It's also known that the Jews have been around for about 4500 years ago. That means they had 500 years to develop nuclear weapons.

(2) It's a well known fact, (substantiated in the Bible) that space aliens were highly involved in the Middle East. There's a pretty good chance that they would have used nukes on those guys, given that the people back then were as vicious as they are now. And from reading the Bible, there's every reason to believe that they were.

I could go on, but it's obvious to me that this is just another case of "scientists'" speculation.

I agree. I think the same thing applies to the dinosaurs as well, as they had much longer than 500 years to develop nuclear weapons. Actually, they probably used them to commit suicide after their time machine showed them evolving into puny human beings.

Carl, The spacemen are kind of ticked off about your speculation. They send one star taxi to pick up Elijah, and all of a sudden they're blowing holes in Mesopotamia. give one old coot a ride on an Alpha Centauri Harley and all of a sudden you're an SOB. They want you to know that they are not all Hell's Angels. <G>
