Thanks for the response, Bilow. I don't play computer games, or wargames (beyond a childhood like of Battleship). But your point is that war is expensive for the reasons you have given, not that it is supposed to be (which suggests underlying reasons beyond logistics and economics)? If so, I get that from your post.

Like I said, I don't play wargames, nor do I enjoy I enjoy war movies.

And if the need is there, the cost be can worth it.

I hope you will say more when you have recovered from the party.

All I know about the Red Baron is the song "Snoopy and the Red Baron". A favorite still.
