Blast from your past: Jdsu thread posts 10053, 10092, 21864, 12630, 12477, 21864, 12555, 12647, 21864, 14027, 14560, 16817, 16880, 20129 and the subsequent trading. Amazing! I really should have been using your posts to trade the stock. Not quite the way you were calling it, but hey, whatever makes money, right? You finally disappear from the jdsu thread saying you'll be buying the next day right at the April 2001 top in the stock. Not sure when you sold glw that you were so bullish on within days of the top. I show up on that same thread in late summer 2001 saying that it would form a base and that is where it's safer to buy. The stock is roughly at the same place now. In fact, I even defended technology/jdsu to a "value" investor who saw no value in tech whatsoever within three days of it's bottom. No respect for longs? I should agree with the fellow who shorted msft right at the time it broke out then? In fact, I even told him that the upper 60's/low 70's would be a better place to short. I've done quite well trading some semi conductor stocks and buying stocks when they were down and selling calls. I'm sure that it was much better than hyping jdsu all the way down and my picks from last year held my portfolio up quite nicely. So now, don't tell me, you didn't really own jdsu when you were calling every rally and dip a buying opportunity! Discussions happen when there are two sides pointing out pros and cons, not when everyone is on the same side of the boat. I don't post when I agree with someone. Why bother? Is there a point to constant cheerleading or doom and gloom? Only when there are two sides is there any value. Only when I see that someone is really wrong on the fundamentals of a stock, do I consider it worth my time to post. Good day to you sir. I hope your calls that expire in 5 days work out. November tends to be bullish but it's still speculating, something that you apparently like to do much more than I.
