I bought my son an E-Machine about a year ago, similar to what you have described. It had work fine without question.

G,

Sounds like a good deal until you add in a 40Gig 7200rpm drive (versus the 20Gig 5400rpm probably on it), a CDRW drive instead of a CD-ROM only, a NIC card, and a P4(not a Celeron) processor. When shopping for PC's, it's more important than ever to look at the specs of each hardware component. Added up, they could possibly comprise the difference between the cost of a Dell and an E-Machine, or close to it IMO.

Regards,

Brian
