AD, you've indicated a problem that needs a solution. Let's keep thinking about it - maybe someone has an idea. I don't expect SI to give us that capability.

How about right clicking on a post to be 'saved' and then adding the url to a dedicated 'favorites' folder? All you would have to do is give it a distictive name. Or save the entire post as txt into a folder on your HD. Then you could use the Windows find function to screen for phrases only in that folder. Find even allows screening by date ranges.

I'd like to see SI offer some type of searchable coding system where one could classify a post for future research and reference.

Actually, although SI's system could be significantly more user friendly, I do this all the time. Create an SI folder (you have to customize your SI toolbar to show folders to do this easily) to hold the subject matter, then send yourself a private message with the URL of the post you want to save. Lastly, when you click on your Inbox to see what you sent yourself, you can file the PM in the folder you created.

When you want to find the post, click on the folder you want, then click through the PM's. It could be much more user friendly, but it works.
