* 14:28 ET Tobacco Verdict : A 6-state jury decided that the tobacco industry does not need to pay for free medical checkups for 250,000 West Virginia smokers. The jury sided with MO, RJR, and others in the first medical-monitoring class-action suit against tobacco makers, and could save the industry millions of dollars. Initial reaction on the Street was positive, as the decision could be a precursor of other positive decisions for cigarette makers.
