Dan, "I cheated, I recalled it from looking at their 10Qs:"

From recently released earnings reports;

Revs 9/30/01

Intel $6.5 Billion
AMD .765 Billion

Intel revenues are over 8x AMD revenues.

Dan, call a psychiatrist tomorrow. Tell him you need to have your head examined and also tell him that he will have to use a microscope.

Herb

Dan,

Why not compare revenues? How about gross margins?

Dan, Re: "Intel Operating costs and expenses $6,156 Million
AMD Operating costs and expenses $995 Million"

Dan, those are not the costs for Intel to make microprocessors. Those are the costs that Intel made to turn one of the worlds largest companies around 90 degrees to cope with a changing economy. A very large portion of this includes stock buyback, acquisitions, ramping of fab capacity, and R&D.

To suggest that this is what Intel invests in the cost of their chips shows how misleading to try to represent yourself. Care to justify yourself on this, or should I just assume it's due to ignorance?
