(2) Identify business opportunities that AMD can attack to be profitable If the present deep bottom in computer, networking equipment, and cell phone demand lightens up just a little, AMD will start making a lot of money. (3) Come up with possible solutions. Well I was lobbying hard for performance ratings for AMD processors (even wrote to Hector Ruiz - firt time I've ever done something like that), they've adopted them, and their ASPs are rising (while their competitor's ASPs continue to fall). I happen to think that AMD is in a holding pattern near term, and will take off with the Hammers. You probably think differently, and two viewpoints are what makes for a discussion.
