Well, Intel is superior to AMD with regards to market value.

Their main compeitor uses threats and bribes to block customer access to AMD.

I wholeheartedly disagree. Compaq chose to back AMD on the failed K5. Tier 1 boxmakers chose the AMD K6, IBM, HP, Gateway, Compaq, etc.

If the present deep bottom in computer, networking equipment, and cell phone demand lightens up just a little, AMD will start making a lot of money.

Dan, unfortunately no. AMD must find a product that will not compete, or directly compete against intel. They must differentiate their product in order to surviv. Even when demand was good, AMD didn't necessarily make money.
