LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - These are the hardware specifications for the leading video game consoles, two of which will be launched in the next week -- Microsoft Corp.'s (Nasdaq:MSFT - news) Xbox (news - web sites) and the Nintendo (news - web sites) Co. Ltd. (7974.OS) GameCube.

Sony Corp (news - web sites).'s (6758.T) PlayStation 2 (news - web sites) was launched in the United States in November 2000. The Xbox goes on sale Nov. 15 and the GameCube on Nov. 18.
