Fox reporting that FBI says there was an "on-board" explosion just proximate to the crash... (but of course, non-terrorist related...probably a case of spontaneous human combustion!)

who wants to fly now, terrorist or not?

call me an unpatriotic schmuck, but i'm done flying. i will not fly thanksgiving weekend or xmas holiday and i want nothing to do with any new year's day celebration.

i was in the air when this thing happened, waiting to land at an airport not far away. they must have talked to the pilots, because he dropped us like a rock. over water.

i am not a happy f-ing camper.

i was on five different flights this weekend. of the people randomly searched prior to boarding one was a single mom with a toddler, one was a 80+ year old grandma, one was a six year old boy (who thought the metal-detecting wand had something to do with Harry Potter). meanwhile i walked through security at Hopkins *twice* in one weekend without having anyone so much as look at my boarding pass.

i realize the need to do *something* to ease people's concerns, but if this is the best we can do we are screwed, simple as that.
