The changing dynamics of the Kashmir debate follows the decline in Pakistan''s fortune as a nation state and the fears in Washington and other Western capitals of an internal collapse. US thinkers and strategists are now projecting that Pakistan will not exist too far into the 21st century. Robert Kalpan, an influential analyst, suggested in a recent article in the Atlantic Monthly that Pakistan could split into a natural faultline on the Indus river with the areas to the west under Iranian influence and the Punjabi areas to the east reclaiming their Indian heritage. But Kalpan also feels that the country will not go quietly into the night. Other theses about the break up of Pakistan are beginning to make the rounds. Clinton administration described some of these reports as apocalyptic journalism but agreed that Pakistan is facing a grave crisis.. Under the circumstances, the wisdom of Islamabad making Kashmir a central theme of its existence when its survival even without Kashmir is in such grave doubt is questionable, they said. Some analysts have also questioned the viability of Kashmir as an independent country even if one dismisses the prospects of the Indian side of the state merging with Pakistan. The reasonable solution they are bandying around is to settle the dispute along the Line of Control with Indian addressing the Kashmiri demands of autonomy while Pakistan attends to its survival. The changing tone of the debate has not fazed Pakistan''s military dispensation. Despite the country''s parlous state, General Musharraf canvassed for and invested effort heavily on Kashmir at his week long stay in New York. The effort has only served to further disappoint the international diplomatic community, which was hoping for a cooling of temperatures on Kashmir through a Pakistani commitment to the existing peace treaties and abjuring violence - the two Indian conditions for resuming dialogue. At least one former diplomat berated Musharraf in a harsh commentary on the Washington Post editorial page yesterday. ''The economy of Pakistan is sinking, yet the focus of the military remains stronger than ever on Kashmir. Pakistan''s junta continues to concentrate its efforts on funding terrorism in Kashmir on the one hand, while on the other dashing domestic hopes for a return to a democratic and secular society,'' former US Ambassador Robert Davis wrote. Davis said, ''Pakistani military regime is exhibiting a almost pathological determination to keep South Asia in turmoil, doing little to curb Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism breeding within its borders, while scuttling others'' steps towards peace''. He argued that Pakistan intended destruction of the nascent Kashmir peace process requires a firmer response from the US. ''Declaring Pakistan a terrorist state, and thus putting it on par with the terrorist groups it harbours and supports, would encourage its people to remove the military warmongers who have deprived them of sustainable development,''

Overseas Pakistanis Vs Overseas Indians

Pakistan is a rogue country without any ethics or morale, the economy is non existent, totally dependent on alms received by muslim countries and some others with vested interests. For the educated and the sane minded this is no place to stay and no wonder most seek opportunities abroad. The leaders are shameless liars and same is true of the so called elite in Pakistan, see the cricket team? Inspite of earning tons of money, they still resort to match fixing, betting etc. I have talked to numerous Pakistanis in the US who call themselves Indians, they are ashamed to associate themselves with Pakistan and their notorious leaders. Pakistan could do well to think of ways of improving their economy, improve the life of the common man by educating him to the modern realities and requirements so that the quality of his life would improve, the mullas have only succeeded in spewing hatred and ensuring that the backward remain so as it is doubtful if the educated will listen to the mullah with his one track mind which is filled with muck worthy of the dirtiest gutters of the world.

An answer to Indians propaganda.... I have seen people that are shameless, and I have seen people that are totally shameless, but this time You hindus have really jumped out of your Dhotees. You dont have a shame. In 65 we beat up your asses, Lal Bahadur Shastri went crying to Moskow, and came back in a box. All of you are giving us examples of Iraq. You may see that through your beady eyes a defeat, but it is a real victory for Iraq and Iraqi people. Whole world against one country, and they survived. Its not Kuwait that West was worried about. Lala Ji it was the potential Iraq had. And Pakistan has the same potential. Lala Ji if you dont know the power of Allah-o-Akbar, Ask your Grand Pa, and if he is smoking huqqa in the hell than ask your dad or any older hindu, he will tell you that when they used to hear Allah-o-Akbar their dhoties used to get wet. You guys are so hypocrate, still today all the hindus come to me at my workplace, and put a smile on their sinister black lips, show their ugly, dirty yellw teeth and say, we are one , one nation, one people, one language , its just few politicians that are fighting and I kick them out of my office, and tell them " listen once and for all, we are not one nation, we are not one people, we beleive in Allah. WE are the rulers of India, you are our subjects, we love to die, you love to live, we are tigers, you are jackals, we are eagles you are vultures. We are like lambs you are pigs, so dont bring your filthy steps again in my office. My last words for you lala's. Just wait. we are waiting also. forget Kashmir. We clain whole hindutan. Hindutan Hamara Hai.

He admitted to murdering innocents and practicing "good terrorism" in a conversation in which he also discussed and defended the attack which targeted the world trade center. Seems pretty clear that that's what he was talking about. You sound like you'd like to be his defense attorney.

What options does India have when faced with such an enemy? None, except to respond back swiftly and harshly. These repulsive Islamic terrorists will only stop when India displays strength. It is a tested technique. Israel, a nation surrounded by Islamic terrorists from all sides, thrives today only after killing several Muslim extremists who dared to threaten and attack its people. That nation made itself strong and put itself in a position to effectively respond to these terrorists. India would have to do the same in order to survive the Islamic menace.

Reacting to the statement of the puppet Chief Minister of occupied Kashmir Farooq Abdullah, who had appealed to India to attack Pakistan to "end bloodshed in Kashmir", Qureshi said if somebody had made such a statement, he was trying to conceal his own problem. "Indian forces have been committing atrocities against Muslims for the past 12 years. In its reaction, the Kashmiri people have stood up to wage struggle for their freedom and right to self determination."
