I wonder if people who are flying for non business will be as quick to say life goes on. I'm flying for pleasure in a month again and it doesn't bother me in the least but I have already fielded calls from my mother and wife who are ready to lock themselves in the basement and not come out for years who are also going on this trip.

I was just talking about this in PM with somebody. I think that I have more anxiety subconsciously. This is evidenced by the fact that I don't sleep the night before I fly and though the first couple of times that I flew after 9/11 I slept on the plane, now I no longer can sleep on the plane. The minute I close my eyes, I go into little crash/hijacking scenarios that pretty much make sleep an impossibility.

But, I don't plan on changing my flying habits.
