I completely agree, as I have said so many times. ANY response from U.S. equity markets when a calamity happens is completely believable, as far as I am concerned.

This is legal gambling, and like any form of gambling, logic does not apply. About all you can do is wait for the herd to stampede to one side, and then establish a leveraged position which is counter to the position which will inflict the most pain, and then wait... and hope. :-)

I'm the 4-th person. I wanted to fly to Miami for Thanksgiving, but now I'll drive. I flew to Santa Fe recently, and I didn't like it. All these lines in Airports, and still you don't feel safe. I managed to bring a Swiss Army knife through airport security; it was on my key chain, and I forgot - nobody noticed - I handed the keys to the security guard... Not a huge knife, but they give you plastic knives in the 1-st class now. -g-
