Unless the Cyras purchase was made with pure cash, it's all paper money anyway. :-)

Same as what Cisco as well as dozens of other companies did.

I am not an accountant, so I don't understand the bookkeeping and tax ramifications of the writeoff.

You still continue to reside in the minority camp of those who believe the Cyras acquisition was a turkey. I believe the current sales of the K2, even in this challenging market have proven your POV to be all wet.
