HOC

I don't see the appeal to owning HOC, so maybe you can shed some light on it

Positives IMO are: 1) their recent agreement with the Department of Defense to provide jet fuel - "The contract runs from October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2002 and will supply 8,500 barrels per day...."
biz.yahoo.com

2) Their stock repurchase announcement - "approved the repurchase of up to $20 million of the Company's common stock...."a demonstration of our confidence in the Company's business and current profitability, and our strong commitment to maximizing shareholder value''

biz.yahoo.com

3) HOC pays a dividend. IMO we are headed into a period when we most likely will see a higher cost for oil and energy.

I readily admit that the oil and energy sector is not my "strong point"....and that is why I read this board to gain knowledge from those who have followed this sector for many years.

Thanks for your thoughts on HOC.
