Even more amazing, they spent a $million bucks chasing that goose. Guess it seemed like a good idea at the time. Still, not a good career move for those how signed off on it I'll bet.

The review of 175,010 Florida ballots by The Wall Street Journal and seven other media organizations was conducted with the help of the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago. It attempted to examine all the ballots that didn't register as votes when they were counted by machine. The project, which took more than nine months and cost nearly $1 million, is likely to be as close as anyone will ever get to a comprehensive understanding of what really happened in Florida last fall.
