Imo the largest impact is in the final days of an options period, such as Thursday and Friday of this week. But once we reach expiry, that influence ends, and the underlying will revert to normal market valuation.

reflected in Dec. or Jan. prices

What I meant by this is would one expect the Dec and Jan options to have a bump up this week if this effect occured, or would it be confined to the Nov expirations only. The written word is tricky business, at least for me.
