Being a value guy at bottom, I've noticed the same in my
hindsight looks at those "woulda, coulda, shoulda"-bought stocks. But part of why I dare short Ciena here is that I tripled down on ONIS a while back. I believe (based upon what I read from informed contributors on other threads and my own study of SEC, broker, and other reports) that ONIS will offer some of the best appreciation in the optical equipment space as the metro buildout picks up. It is a LT hold for me unless it really pops.

I expect to again be adding to ONIS in the next downturn, and to keep looking for shorts in the sectors where I'm long. I'm net short right now if you leave aside my 15-20% gold share position.
