Bill, if you recall, my prediction was that amzn would fall over 90% in price and would then still be overvalued -- on that score I take credit for being right. I also said that violence in the middle east would lead to broader instability --something I have refrained from reminding you as the post 9/11 environment is hardly the time to "score points". But you have been consistently wrong on just about everything in the years I have been posting here, nd yet you have never once owned up to your sad track record.

glenn, i'm not mad b/c you were wrong. i'm not even mad that you can't admit to being wrong, wrong, wrong for defending and touting this bs company when the market cap was 15 times its current value.

what gets me is that you really appear to think we are stupid. *that* is really irritating.

now, go back to fantasy land.

"this need to prove me wrong" geez Bill, everybody who read your posts over the years knows you were wrong. You are the one who says "prove it". Most everybody just says "come on Bill, it so blatantly obvious that you were wrong, why not admit it?".

Is Amazon out of business? Our bet is that Amazon will or won't make it. Glenn has been saying that Amazon will be toast, and so far it's not.

I never made the statement Amazon will be toast. It is a common statement. I did say Amazon will fail. Bankruptcy will occur but that was not the gist of my bet. I predicted and still do that Amazon was a poor business model. I have stated hundreds of time that Amazon could never be profitable until fulfillment costs were lower than gross margins. So far they are not and so far Amazon is not profitable.

Also, if the equity markets had not been so kind to Amazon, they would be long gone. The recent AOL cash influx was a necessity to get through Q4. I am of the opinion that KP helped that move along.

In any case, Bill you are hiding behind a smoke screen. I can't believe you see Amazon losing millions of dollars daily and yet you will not admit the fundamentals of theic company are terrible. Not only that, investing in a company you think may make it and has not gone out of business yet, indicates you can't possible feel they have strong fundamentals.

You may play with words with me all you wish. My opinion is you are gutless and unable to admit I was right on when it came to Amazon's fundamentals. There are posts here prior to the second convertable bond offering where you told me Amazon would not need any more case. Amazon raised $675 million during the second offering and then received a gift of $100 million from AOL and their continued existance is still suspect. Take away the $775 million raised and what do you have?

As I said just recently in my opinion, Bill you are no better ethically than the analysts that pump a stock while they sell it or the insiders taking billions of dollars out of a money losing enterprise. Your attitude and lack of ability to face up to your apparent ignorance about the fundamentals of Amazon actually amazes me. I can't recall ever meeting anyone like you ever.

I know you state you do not care what others think of you. To be honest I am not always out to win a popularity contest but I surely care what I think of me. I have to live with me and no one else has to do that. I can't for the life of me figure out how you can live with yourself and I am thankful everyday I do not have to live with you.

Good luck there General!
