Bill: Gates already said it is ahead of all other release by a factor of 2:1 at the same time in distribution. Whoever is putting out the FUD that it is not well received is nuts. It is well worth every penny of the 99 dollars and the public knows it. It is the O/S that 6 states don't want you to have and the O/S that all Softee competitors fear. JFD

The press release by itself doesn't mean much. The 7 million copies includes retail, OEM etc. The breakdown is not known. The retail sales can lead to a blowout quarter. Not necessarily the OEM sales. They replace the old OS. I don't know how much pricing difference there is for that. IMHO, this is a meaningless press release.
