Kabul is taken, but Bin Laden is still at large, and the new government is still in question. I think the market will add things up and conclude that things are good, but not that good on that front. There is still instability.

I think we may find that the Taliban will fight in their stronghold like cornered dogs. Furthermore, the former attackers (the Northern Alliance) will now become the defenders.

It is much easier to take land than it is to defend it, IMO.

There is an old Israeli Army saying-you only own what you can defend.
