Hey, don't worry. Maybe he said 2:1 vs Win98 (which was widely regarded as a big disappointment for MSFT), maybe he said "ahead of all other release by a factor of 2:1" (which would be better), but who's counting? Isn't it ironic though that John Dowd implied that it was MSFT's detractors who were spreading the FUD, and not John himself?

Yes Duke and Gates also pointed out that to date '98 was by far the largest selling product sold by MSFT. The point you all miss is the ever increasing installed data base. The TV pundits in the interest of "balance" listen to folks like dybdahl but the fact remains that the numbers are on MSFT's side and they grow with every passing minute. It is so simple it is pathetic that most people don't grasp the concept. JFD
