Japan may finally be rolling over tonight. Might this help drag down the Nasdaq?

Why would one want to.
Windows 2000/NT is stable, working well, and XP will take time, $, and people to implement.

It is my understanding that the primary focus of this operating is the consumer. Windows2000 had been a recent corporate upgrade. XP is an upgrade to the consumer versions Windows ME, 98, 95--that is my understanding.

The data is going to come from sources other than computer consultants...it will be retailers or the boxmakers around the world that will provide clues.

Corporations tend to take their time, especially in the environment of cost cutting..in any case those upgrades are usually slow to implement. There are many companies still running Windows95.

As it relates to the stock prices---- it is simply of a question of what the analysts or other experts expect from this industry this quarter. Based upon what I have read, they were not looking for much this quarter..and that is the key. I keep stressing how an uptick in PC sales can affect the semiconductor industry. Anything more than seasonal demand could be big for the industry (that is my expectation for this quarter).
