If He comes just before the wrath of God, won't there be a lot of people looking? Well at the end there will be an assault against the saints according to the Word. The beast wages war against the saints and prevails. The saints and there ranting's about Jesus and His triumphal return will be viewed like lunatics. Imagine the political climate at that time when the public will allow the persecution of the saints to go on. Just like the German's and the Jews in WWII. There will be rampant unbelief, no unsaved person will even believe that there is a Jesus. The saints still here will look for His return, no one else. So when He does return, to them it will be unexpected like a thief in the night. God's not trying to figure anything out, He knows His own. Our names are in the Lambs book of life. He knows US!! But.... to judge the ones who are not saints is not His way. He has after all never been in the condemning business. It's not about condemnation. It's about all people choosing there own fate. Not Him choosing it for them even with the for-knowledge that He has. It's not common justice but perfect justice that he represents. I believe that the mark of the beast is perfect for the purpose of giving every person on earth the final choice for themselves. That choice is not imposed by Him and therefore open to ridicule by any spiritual force. The devil accuses the saints day and night and he probably would accuse God at any opportunity also. But there is no argument when the people have chosen their own fate and at the judgement God will show them that and there will be no flaw in that judgement of the unbelievers. That's what I believe, I'm thankful for God's Glory and His perfect judgement. Also the persecution of the saints will refine them with fire as the Word says. And another reason to dismiss the pre-trib rapture is that the saints have to be on earth to preach Jesus to the very last. THAT'S OUR JOB!! The Holy Spirit cannot leave the earth until the very last one is saved, and who knows who that last one will be, or when. But the Holy Spirit works through men. Who's going to open there mouth and preach Jesus? US!! To the very end, at the last trump, we will be here. I don't rule out that God can take some as he chooses before things get bad. That's His choice. There is precedence for it. Enoch walked with God and did not see death as God willed. Because he was so pleasing to God. But I'm afraid most of us are not that pleasing to God and will be here to be "refined" by fire.
