With U.S. servicemen and women once again dispatched to a foreign land in defense of their country, the first Veterans Day to be observed in post-Sept. 11 America was infused Monday with a new spirit of patriotism.

Cal Thomas is glossing over the real issue: politicians no longer represent the citizens, only the "appropriators" and themselves, even if it causes war against US citizens.

Citizens don't vote to kiss Saudi princes who pick our pockets and give us the finger. But it continues thanks to our current administration and Congress.
