this is going to be weird now.

northern alliance in place, but who will be the controlling factor in afghanistan now? Long term, it certainly can't be the alliance... i do not think the people will stand for an ethnic tajik government. would they allow rabbani to come back in power? he was ousted by the people. (although i expect that the current gvmt was not their first choice as far as successors go)

this is going to be sticky for a while i think. the us cannot simply blow the caves, pull out bin laden and take off. setting up a gvmt that truly represents the population... well that's not the NA. So how will the alliance react? They most likely have some expectations of power in consideration.

we'll see how this plays out. The us will get their man, but it is my hope that they do not turn their back on afghanistan yet again after achieving their goal, or it will get ugly all over again.

TEIM... posted DD 3-4 weeks ago... been following up from time to time.

China admitted to WTO. Alpha Spacecom will launch satellites for China. This will bring more media to China. Additionally, Alpha Spacecom will be a global business.

Nice slow upward move... just like the good ole days :)
