Shares of tech stocks bounce back after initial shock of jetliner crash.

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Tech stocks were down in early trading Monday in wake of the crash of an American Airlines jetliner, but bounced back to close higher, led by a jump in shares of Ciena Corp.

At the close, the Nasdaq composite index, which is weighted heavily with technology names, was up 11.65 points, or 0.6 percent, at 1,840.13.
