LSI Logic Corp. today is expected to announce that it has secured design wins with four major OEMs, Dell Computer Corp. among them, for its Fusion-MPT (message passing technology) architecture, controllers, RAID products and other Ultra320 SCSI devices.

LSI said the deals, which are expected to be worth more than $250 million in revenue over the next three years, focus on its single- and dual-channel, Fusion-MPT-based controllers—the LSI53C1020 and LSI53C1030. The deals also encompass its Ultra320 SCSI host bus adapters, expanders and RAID storage adapter products.

Earlier this year, LSI Logic acquired American Megatrends Inc.'s RAID business, engineering teams and technology. Through the deal, Milpitas, Calif.-based LSI gained the company's MegaRAID software intellectual property (IP) and host adapter board product family.
