Well, we do need the bases in Iran. Iraq is next on the list, then Syria, then Lebanon. The people in Iran did go into the streets in favor of the U.S. And with Iraq lobbing small rockets into Kuwait, it's only a matter of time.

Former President Bill Clinton made a succession of gestures but was repeatedly rebuffed.

Who the heck at Reuters is writing this crap? Iran made the gestures, and Clinton is the one who rebuffed them.
