Little hope in Jovin case

Letter to the Editor November 11, 2001

State's Attorney Michael Dearington was quoted as saying "we don't want to give anyone any false hope" regarding the investigation of the murder of Suzanne Jovin.

I don't think Dearington has to worry about that. Hope, in this case, would require some confidence that the New Haven Police Department and the state's attorney's office could actually solve this crime.

Given the department's history, is anyone naive enough to believe that they are actually capable of doing so?
