Israeli businessman among dead on Flight 587
By Melissa Radler and Herb Keinon

NEW YORK (November 13) - The family of Israeli businessman Ilan Wasserman contacted the Foreign Ministry's situation room in Jerusalem yesterday seeking news of his fate, after learning of the crash of American Airlines Flight 587. They had learned that Wasserman's wife had dropped him off at Kennedy Airport for the flight to Santo Domingo. Wasserman, 44, had lived in Queens for 20 years.

He was confirmed a passenger on the ill-fated flight late last night. There were no survivors among the 255 people aboard; six others were reported missing on the ground.
