I know not everyone is saying the same thing yet, but to win this contest you don't have to be right you just have to be better than anyone else. So game theory suggests everyone will in fact gravitate to the same solution and no-one win! But of course there is that pesky coin to be beat. As an uptrend has shown (in a sample of one :)) to be better than the coin that could be an equilibrium for this problem. This is a many period game of the "beauty contest" variety (that name was originated by John Maynard Keynes).

Buying NDX calls this morning (December 1600) in Australia doesn't look like such a dumb move at the moment. I was expecting a 3 of 3 wave up and with the emerging news in Afghanistan and on the Anthrax etc. it sounded like a good idea.
