All rights reserved The COMEX silver price is likely on its way to $3.50, but don't try to buy real metal for that. I just e-mailed Bart concerning his latest bullion full product list. The only silver bullion offered is the 1000 oz bar. All other bar sizes that were previously offered have been withdrawn. I asked Bart about this. He says the one ounce wafers are no longer made ( and hence are now so scarce, kitco can no longer offer them ) . The one hundred ounce bars are still made but the premiums are now so high, Kitco can no longer buy them, and hence no longer has any to sell. It would appear that the local market price for physical silver has now separated from the paper price on COMEX. Options to buy silver on COMEX will now increasingly reflect the rising probability that COMEX will default on delivery and option prices ( hence spot prices ) should fall from here on. This means we have separation. That means we have blast off in silver. This latest Kitco datum can be added to the anecdotal price pattern we can see for bullion on EBAY. One hundred ounce name brand bars sell for $US500+ on EBAY, plus $13.00 shipping and there is STILL a risk of default by the supplier on EBAY. I guess the risk of default on COMEX is greater than the risk of default by private individuals on an internet auction ( snicker ) . Well done FACT! It is unclear at this time if paper receipts stating that you have purchases physical gold via shares in gold producing companies, non producing but holding mining rights in dirt (excluding desert dirts) and various electronics bits and bytes and strings displayed as pointers to where your gold exist as indirect pointers will indeed accomplish that needed to serve & protect you from a currency collapse of money not backed fully in gold.
