alraz, The second way: You may read the last two words on the bottom right of the first boot-up screen (Energy Star Logo) to recognize what the BIOS id. number you have, then you will know which one you have to download and upgrade for your board. The bottom right of my first boot-up screen is blank. I do have a BIOS version number at the top, and a series of numbers at the bottom left, but they don't seem to be it. I'll look inside and find it. I'll need to read up on how to upgrade the BIOS. From a quick look at the link it seems I may need to get the right right program to flash the memory as well as getting the updated BIOS?? Thanks for the links. Be interested in what you find with your machine.

Well I'm stumped. There is no white sticker where it is supposed to be. The only thing I see on the board is a chip that must contain the BIOS cause I can see the word AWARD on it. The rest I can't read very well. Maybe I can do better in daylight, but it does not look anything like what the bios upgrade page says the white sticker will say. There are a bunch of letter codes on the listed upgrades, but none of them correspond to the version letters and numbers on my boot-up page. I have my memory in slots 0 and 2 now. First start the memory all tested OK.. knock on wood.. Dan
