the market viewpoint has changed since late Sept.

when I say trend is your friend its the whole market. for example last 18 months the downtrend has been in effect. the "sell on any rally" provided ample opps to short the stocks that jumped in price. why? the gains didn't hold.

now the market hearing constantly "V" recovery in 2nd qrt. true? dk but if the market believes that then the movement is up.

certainly there are stocks that have run too far too fast. problem now is which ones will fall back and which will continue to rise based on momo and/or discounted "bad news"

Afgan. yes not a total victory and war far from over. remember the market trades on "news" meaning something is new. market wants ANY positive to move higher. therefore it provides trading opps mostly longside.

watch ORCL, they warned. if any stock should go down its ORCL. if the stock holds a small downside what does that mean for the tech sector?

bot longs yesterday in INTU, SEBL and a few other on the panic dip at open. now watching and waiting to see how high they go.
Good luck in your trading.
