* 09:58 ET Micron Tech (MU) 29.01 ( +6.9%): MU getting a lift from pre-open upgrade from Gerard Klauer Mattison to BUY from Neutral. Raises target price to $36 and FY02 estimate to $(0.81) from $(0.87). Cites stabilizing DRAM prices and the potential for tightening supply of DRAMs as some smaller players curtail production or even exit the business.

Continues to believe that there is plenty of inventory that will come into the market at these higher prices. Niles expects the normal seasonal pattern of a roughly 10% sequential demand dip in the MarQ to resume.
