The Taliban refused to give up bin Ladin. Lots of evidence against alQaida is publicly available - their guilt is a fact. We don't want to bomb Afghanistan into submission unless we absolutely have to. So far things are looking very good over there. Very few innocent casulties. Most cities are in our allies hands - except for Kandahar and that seems to be on the verge of turning. Afghanis in areas liberated from the Taliban seem to be very happy now.
