The Taliban offered to give up Bin Laden, but we didn't want that.>>>> That is a call for another "tirade" <g>

Mullar Omar was about to give-up Bin Laden? or Bin Laden to give-up Mullah for terrible treatment of women?

Case in point, you are willing to put forward a completely unfounded and fairly "stupid" comment to bolster your point, in this case in defence of Chomsky, who made a blatant, atrocious and absurd comment...What Thomas M does?-rashes to his defence, why?-because he has proclaimed him a scholar and Middle East expert that has a solution for the Middle East problem...
Would you visit him in the nursing home where he belongs, too?

PS Hero of Muslem World Osama, could never be even approached never mind arrested by Omar..

He told NEWSWEEK last week that the Taliban and Osama bin Laden were linked “like head and body, all riding around in black cars and not allowing anyone to talk to them.”

The Taliban refused to give up bin Ladin. Lots of evidence against alQaida is publicly available - their guilt is a fact.

We don't want to bomb Afghanistan into submission unless we absolutely have to.

So far things are looking very good over there. Very few innocent casulties. Most cities are in our allies hands - except for Kandahar and that seems to be on the verge of turning. Afghanis in areas liberated from the Taliban seem to be very happy now.
