Joe, I for one do not miss them. Some will lurk and some will come back. I am sure many see Paul for what he is, a bully. Let them have him fine tuning their thoughts for them for a while and the level of resentment will rise...and they have no moderator over there.
As for the lower volume, most of what Paul said here was just putdowns of people and AMD and we will probably find we have the same level of new information as before, or even more since some people who were offended by Paul and even intimidated will feel more able to air their thought without the fear of a putdown.
Now we must also make sure that this is not merely a rar ra thread for AMD, we need constructive criticism to fine tune our investments.
I do not feel this thread will suffer at all from the ouster of Paul.
I went over to the Intel thread and Paul went on a rant, now they have him on their thread and soon he will start favouring his friends and coercing the meeker into silence, unless he has learned his lesson, faint hope, or feels constrained to act like a good boy at home.
Bill

OT Joe- It looks like most of the people voting to ban Paul followed him to Intel thread.

It's all pretty odd. In the end, Paul got suspended because he refused to stop using "athwiper". Either he never noticed that this irritated people or he really liked to push the rules. This really sounds like stuff for kindergarten but to the Intc faithful it somehow became a free speech issue.

Anyway, quiet is good.

re: I think we need to hire a thread shrink, since it appears some of the Paul followers may have some psychological problems.

Joe-

Maybe the prevailing attitude, so eloquently stated in your post, is the reason so many of "Paul's followers" have left with him. Also, all the life has gone out of this thread. Enjoy.
