I had not heard that. That could be good news. More letters mean more clues: more handwriting to analyze, more bugs to put under a microscope. The sample they had was running out. We don't want any new threats entering the system, but if there's some evidence somewhere in a safe area, maybe that gets us closer to the culprit.
