I haven't been following UTEK news lately, but they have been the dog of the semi equip industry for a long time. For example, their participation in the last business recovery was late, and considerably less than that experienced by most other members of the sector.

High-Speed Internet Market Saturated in Korea November 13, 2001 (SEOUL) -- Korea's high-speed Internet market is almost saturated, officials of Korea Telecom Corp. said. Subscribers of high-speed Internet access services are expected to total 7.7-8 million persons at the end of this year, expecting to only add 2.5 million persons at maximum to the overall subscription list over the next two years. Market watchers see it impossible to surpass 10 million subscribers in Korea. To handle such expectations, service providers including Korea Telecom, Hanaro telecom and Thrunet are seeking other premier services to develop new profit models. Korea Telecom said it will soon plan to release products for SOHO (small office home office) and small companies, while Thrunet expects the number of subscribers to exceed 1.2 million persons this year. Meanwhile, Hanaro Telecom has also released AOP (application one-stop platform) e-business services for small- and medium-sized companies. (Maeil Business Newspaper, Korea)
