Personally, I like to keep it simple, and don't feel comfortable with multi-part options strategies. Dan is an expert at that stuff, but I shudder at the multiple decisions that have to be made to start or unwind a spread. It's tough enough to make one good decision at a time.

When I get an urge to hedge, I lean towards closing the position instead of buying puts or writing calls.

I am a bull on NTAP, but I think that NTAP has had a major move in recent weeks. A breather is in order. However, I could be left out of a great short squeeze if the news is great. I suspect that there are many shorts out there right now.

In the end, I do not think that NTAP is firing on all cylinders yet (due to macroeconomic issues, more than microeconomic ones). And, it will be important to be locked and loaded prior to that being a reality. However, I think that there is a little more time to go before being loaded up is a must.
