All I know is that my Sweetie's company (a pre-ipo starving e biz consultant) has been getting some contracts from companies that have either refused to approve spending or couldn't get financing.

Last Christmas they were hiring like crazy and within months they laid off 75% of their employees and closed 2 out of three offices.

I think they were lucky to have survived when so many others flush with ipo funds struggled. They'll be stronger for this.

The stock market? I don't know. Either trading range or upside. I doubt we'll see the lows again.
