Never having golfed, I can only imagine the discomfort of a "pick up". My son and I are more likely to argue over what the top 10 rock albums of all time are, but any common interest is good.......

Next time at Hilton Head, try Old South, just on the mainland side of the bridge. Big favorite with locals. Gorgeous, interesting and usually in great condition. We have lots of golfing company and Old South is first on everyone's list. $35 - $90, depending on time of year, time of day and zip code on driver's lic. Probably $68 for an afternoon time in April. Kids get a HUGE discount.
