I know the exec course but not the name. Never played it. Just beyond the turn-in to that course is Hilton Head Natl. a Gary Player design that is on the short side and an ego booster IF you can stay out of the woods. NO traps fronting greens. In excellent condition and very reasonable. We play there a lot.

Top gator viewing course in area, IMO, is Shipyard in plantation of same name toward south end of island. Two of the three nines there are very nice (Brigantine and Clipper). Crowded though -- they may force twosomes to combine.

BTW, if you have a liking for par 3 courses, don't miss a chance to play any of the "short courses" that are part of the Alabama Robt Trent Jones Golf Trail.
