I'm assuming that if earnings are not super, companies will trade in a range while earnings improve. (Like the semis did in the spring).

Most stocks have done that for years anyway even if the ranges were larger and more jagged than I care for.

I don't really care if we go up or trade in a range.

No, actually, I rather be in a range. It's easier to figure out where to buy and when a breakout occurs, the longer the base, the stronger and longer the uptrend will be.

Bases are times to accumulate stocks. At least now I don't feel like the base is a thin balance beam I have to navigate and worry I'll drop off of.

I'm happy. Even though it sounds like ceo's are more cautious on the economy, than I am, I bet we're just fine.... and I'll be able to figure out where to buy stocks again and feel ok holding them.
